Kota had a normal childhood, her parents were happy, middle-class people, her father worked and her mother stayed at home. She wasn't the most popular kid in school but no one had anything to say about her all through her school life. When she started high school and started hitting puberty, her body was going through changes, but not just normal changes. See, her parents were mutants and so was she. Dakota was having a slumber party, for her birthday and everything was going great until she started becoming light-headed. Kota ended up passing out, only remembering the sounds of screams and her parents voices. When she awoke everyone that was at her slumber party, including her parents were dead, the police said it was from their brains literally exploded from the masses amounts of blood that had pooled in their skulls. Dakota wasn't blamed because there was no way she could have done that, the police couldn't solve the mystery and the case went cold. As for Kota, seeing all of her friends as well as her parents, dead, blood coming out of every opening on her bedroom floor caused something in her mind to break and she became mentally unstable. She was sent to a mental institution where they kept her drugged up and locked in a room, Dakota wasn't much of a talker during the three years she was there. One night, no one is still sure how or exactly what happened, but Dakota wasn't giving her medication and her ability ran amuck again killing everyone on the same floor as her. She managed to escape her room and started killing everyone in the institute, by accident, though if anyone would have seen the look on her face that would have sworn she was doing it on purpose. A sinister grin was plastered on her face as she roamed the halls, killing everyone that came near her with her ability. It was later discovered that her ability was that of haemokinesis or the ability to mentally control blood. Dakota went into hiding after the massacre of the mental hospital and the case ran cold, though some police officers started to believe she was the cause of it since mutants were starting to spring up around the world. She was one of the reasons they started making their 'cure', she was mentally unstable and had a very dangerous power that she could not control. While in hiding she learned to control her ability a little bit better, making it bend to her will and not go off by itself. Dakota is not crazy in her mind, but to others she is a sociopath. All the meds and shots she recieved while in the hospital caused her brain to take some serious damage in the sane department, not over the use of her ability though. She does have to focus a lot harder than most mutants to make her power work well, but when it works, it kills. Now, a year and a half later, Dakota has wandered into this place, mid-invasion. Still crazy, manicial if you will and has a good control over her ability.
